What is Camporee???
So much more than badges...
Camporee is a volunteer-run, regional, Multi-Troop Area Team event which provides an opportunity for fun and fellowship between Girl Members from different Troops. This can be an excellent opportunity for newer Troops to camp near and learn from more experienced campers. It is also a great time for Troops to participate in activities which might otherwise be too costly or difficult for a single Troop to arrange. We wish to encourage Troop Spirit as well as AHG Creed Values as we enjoy God’s creation.
This year's theme celebrates the gifts, talents and strengths we are given by God our Creator. Girls today are often taught the lesson of female empowerment through the world's lens which leaves out God, but we want to acknowledge our ability to do hard and challenging things through the power of Christ and the strength He gives us. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Phil. 4:13 is our guiding verse.
WHO CAN CAMP???

The DC Metro Area Team exists to serve and minister to the over 60 troops in our Area as designated by AHG. As much as we would love to continue to extend an invitation to any and every troop, the Team, being limited in number, has made the difficult decision to limit Camporee attendance to only the troops within our Area Team.

Based on feedback from last year's Camporee, we are also capping attendance at 300 Girl Members to allow for more time through badge rotations.

Full weekend camping is restricted to Tenderhearts and above. Pathfinders are invited to Day Camp on Saturday only.

ADULTS & GIRLS must be fully registered members of AHG & registered for Camporee to enter the fairground gates. This includes dropping off.
OVERNIGHT CAMPERS
Tenderhearts through Patriots may attend as Overnight Campers Friday - Sunday. Troops may choose to attend all weekend or as Saturday Campers.
DAY CAMPERS
Pathfinders are Saturday only Campers.
Troops may choose to come as Day Campers for Saturday activities only.
MAN CAMP
Registered, background Checked & KEYS trained Male Adult Members are welcome to attend Camporee. They will tent camp in a separate area equipped w/ electricity.
