Programming
We are excited to offer AHG Badge Programming during our Camporee, but we want to stress that it is not the SOLE purpose for attending. Our badge rotations will be focused on satisfying requirements/optionals, but Explorers and PiPa's may not finish on the day of Camporee. Leader Folders will include badge spreadsheets for supervising adults to check off requirements met at each station. It is an expectation for Troops to know what is completed at Camporee using these sheets.
AHG Women's History Patch Program
Women are to be treasured and celebrated because women were created by God. As women bearing God's image in the world, we have the opportunity to make a lasting impression in history with our unique image as it brings the eye also to behold the beauty that surrounds every nook and cranny of who you are in Christ.
**As we were not able to secure Archery Educators, this programming will substitute in its place.
Daughter of the King
You are the Daughter of the King! Though our culture may try to tell you differently, God sees each of you as beautiful, worthy of love and priceless. We will hold a fashion show at the end of Saturday night in lieu of a skit show. Girls are asked to bring a favorite outfit to represent different categories - Patriotic, Favorite Fall Outfit and Princess (Daughter of the King).
Fire Safety/Fire Building
Fire is a very useful tool for cooking and keeping you warm as well as a traditional part of camping out. It is important to know the equipment, safety rules, and process involved in building a fire.
Home Care & Repair
Learning how to do minor repairs or maintenance in your home is a valuable skill. Girls will get to sample different tools, including hammers, screwdrivers and some power tools at the older levels. One on one supervision will be required at the power tools, and adult leadership will be imperative at this station.
Team Building
Age appropriate teambuilding activities will also be a part of the rotation schedule. This Team Building patch is available through Advantage Emblem should your Troop like to purchase it after the event.
An American Heritage Girl is reverent and this Creed value will be reinforced with worship opportunities. Troops are encouraged to hold their own devotions on Friday evening after arrival and set-up. On Saturday evening, campers will have a choice of Catholic Mass or a non-denominational service.
